Back in my college and high school years while I played tennis, most of the time my emotions and fear kept me from enjoying and performing well. Emotional intelligence is so important in all aspects of life, our mind is a key player that either helps us or blocks us from flourishing, succeeding, and enjoying what we do.

“An emotionally self–aware athlete can understand their own emotions and the effects these emotions have on their athletic performance. They know what they are feeling, why, and how these emotions may or may not serve them well in competition.”
