I grew up hearing that politics and religion were not conversation topics. Mindfulness, compassion, and emotional intelligence have shown me that the solution to conflict and difficult emotions that arise from these conversations can be worked through non judgemental listening, acceptance, and compassion.
I know, it is not easy to hear opposite views, however, these instances are the best scenarios for us to practice on how to self-regulate and not be reactive.
